Hi, I have quite a bit of information on this family. The Elias I have was married to Eliza Lewis Witherspoon. He was born in 1793 and in North Carolina. They married 3 Jan 1824. According to the Tippah County Death Notices 1836-1936, he died in 1873. The notice was filed on Feb. 22 1873. I have lots more. Hovis, Eliza Ann, , 1/11/1847, Ripley, age 39 years wife of Elias Perhaps Elias was married more than once. Fred
