(possibly related to Wiley B COOK who m Mary C Zimmer 9 June 1845 Tippah Co MS and prev lived Pickens Co AL)...Josiah was a War 1812 vet and 1855 trustee to Mount Pleasant School Bd. Family found 1845 & 1856 MS State census Tippah (for some reason not in 1850 census) 1860 Tippah Co MS p213 #1466 Southern Div. Josiah Crawford 37AL, Malinda 38TN, Thomas 12 MS, Mary 9MS, Joseph 7 MS, Missey 5 MS, Wiliam 2 MS Arthur E Stokes apprentice carpenter SC 1870 Tippah Co MS p29 T6R4 #219 MM Crawford 48 VA, Mary E 20 MS, JN (male) 18 MS, CA (female) 14 MS, WFL (male) 11 MS Thomas P Crawford 23 MS Catherine 31 MS Lorena 2 MS I have not been able to track Thomas P (or Thomas B/D) or ("Missey" or "C.A".."Sarah"and their family either. Only children I have any progress for: (1)Mary A "Molly" m John Randolph Palmer (my direct line) (2) Joseph (Earlton?) Crawford m 19 Dec 1877 Tippah to Clara Lou Laird and then he may have married 1897 to Fannie Lowe (??)....he and family went to Memphis TN ....connections to that line: Henry Cooper Luther WHITAKER,Samuel J MAY,James Algie GOWDY,Henry Thomas HEWITT,Ila V YATES,Horner Ford CRAWFORD.... (3) William Luther Crawford m 30 July 1905 Annie Bullock....he lived Memphis and Benton Co MS So far cannot connect these Crawfords with other early Crawfords of the same county!!
