I am sending this information to both the Tippah and the Pontotoc List because I am receiving 4 to 5 "Worm" infected messages a week from people that are probably subscribed to one/or both of these list. There is at least two different "worms" infected attachments being circulating and they are being generated from list member's computers without their knowledge and are being sent to people whose address is stored within the infected computers. I don't think that the source is the people's address book, which is the most common method that these "worms" use, rather I think that the "worm" is somehow using the address on files that have been downloaded and stored within the computer. One thing that the current messages that have these "worm" infected attachments have in common is the "Sender's Address" seems to have a "_" preceding the person's address like "[email protected]". Please don't open an attachment from anyone that has the "_" preceding their address without sending them a message confirming that they did purposely send you the message with an attachment. I suspect that the message that you send to the address will be returned to you as being undeliverable. This method of spotting a Virus is just a tool and not even close to being fool proof. Don't rely on for protection. All the experts are still saying that you are not going to be infected by reading your E-mail, JUST FROM ATTACHMENTS. They also say that you should update your Virus Protection before opening attachments and I think that this is still the best protection.
