He is listed in the 1850 census in Tippah Co. with wife Mary F. Her maiden name is Brantley; daughter of Phillip Cox. Mary left James after having a son (William) and moved to Missouri. Family story has James as being quite a bit older than Mary who was his second wife and he sold his land to a Maddox. If you know anything of these people, please contact me. Thank you.
