Alma Stewart Hester was married to George Washington William "Will" Hinton when she was shot and killed by him on Easter Sunday in 1926. The story I have been told is that it was an accident. He was showing a gun to a brother-in-law in the next room when he accidently dropped the gun and it fired. The bullet went through the wall and killed Alma who was in the next room. They lived in Blue Mountain, Miss. at the time. The children were all sitting around the table when they saw their mother get hit by the bullet and die. I am trying to find a newspaper article on the shooting of Alma or an Obituary. The family does not know where Alma is buried and would love to know this and any information on her that we can find. Alma was the adopted daughter of Snap Hester of Pontotoc County, Miss.
