Thanks to those who have responded to my query re John Prather and Loucinda Hatcher. I'm related to the Prathers of Tippah County and this John has me stumped. I think I have been assigning some of his data to my great-great-grandfather, Josiah Prather. Josiah Prather 5 Nov 1818 Laurens Co SC-12 Nov 1900 Tippah Co Buried:Mt. Zion, Union Co married Lydia Wesson in SC. Their first child was born in 1846 in AL. before they traveled on to Tippah Co. They had 5 more children before Lydia died. In 1860 Josiah and Lydia and family were in house 261. John and Mary are in house 317. The ages of John and Mary match the ages of John and Loucinda buried at Pleasant Hill. I have Josiah's second marriage to Mary Lucinda Hatcher on 18 Aug 1867. Did I copy John's marriage thinking it was Josiah's? In the 1870 census Josiah and Mary Lucinda are listed. In the 1880 census John and Lucinda with Thomas Hatcher are listed. In 1880 Josiah and Lucinda C. are in Union County. Josiah and John were both blacksmiths and I'm sure were related. But how?
