Monterville Nichols was born in TN about 1819 and died in Alcorn Co., MS in 1872. I believe his father to be a William Nichols, but I've been unable to identify him. Monterville also had a son named William, born c.1850, who migrated to Texas about 1871. Any connections with your line of Nicholses? I would like to share information, if only to identify Nichols folks that are NOT mine!
