I received a message from William South and accidently deleted it before responding. He descends from Abner O. South whose Civil War letter I have on my site. If anyone can give me his email address I would greatly appreciate it. I am hoping that he is a member of the list. I think it quite possible that the Souths of Tippah Co. are related to my own South line. I descend from Eli and Elizabeth Wilson South. They were married in Lauderdale Co. AL 6 Oct. 1827 and moved to Panola Co. MS in the early 1840s where Eli died in the mid 1840s. My Souths moved to Tate Co. about 1873. I believe the Tippah Co. Souths came from Alabama also.
