I am looking for a John Charles Kuykendall b. 1856 who may be kin to the Burrough/Burrows family, Marion and Andrew Kuykendall families. Marion is thought to be older than John C. John lived in Ala. 1870s, worked in a saw mill, married but left his wife. He was found in Hardeman Co. Tn. in 1880. This info comes from a family bible and pass down sources. Does anyone have any information about these Kuykendall's. The below is some information provided to me from a family member; Since Marion's death certificate lists a Simon from AL as his father, A Robert Burroughs/Burrows may be connected as a previous/later husband to Sarah Charles or somehow a brother-in-law to Norris. This Robert Burroughs was said to be from AL also. Another Alabama connection possibility is an Andrew Kuykendall born around 1836. He married a Martha something. Andrew was shown from Alabama at some point, but he joined the same Confederate unit as Marion at the same time according to my aunt. So, could this be a cousin/brother that we could back into Marion with somehow? Marion was a member of the Harris Brigade ("Raiders") according to what I've been told; I've been told the 23rd (I'm pretty sure that's the number) Infantry of MS as well. Thank You, Bob Parker
