Lloyd, Thanks for the info. They look promising as a colaterol line. The names Thomas, Robert and Elizabeth appear often early in these lines. Actually Thomas comes down through most of the generations. If you find any more info about where in SC let me know. My Carter's were from Chester Co SC and lived near "Fishing Creek". Bishop Francis Asbury, a Methodist Circuit rider, writes of preaching at the church they founded there in his diary in 1789. My 4th G -grandfather Thomas Carter b. Va 1766, brought his family to TN from SC about mid 1820's with one of his brothers and all of his children. Other's stayed in SC, so that's why I wonder if your line could come from one of those. His father's name was Alexander b. VA and he moved to SC by abt late 1780's. My Thomas had a son Thomas Alexander I'll keep your info and watch for them. Teri
