According to Census Records, Mary L. Aldridge was the daughter of Elias and Elizabeth Aldridge, both born in Alabama. John J. Smith was the son of Erastus and Sarah Smith, all born in South Carolina. The 1900 Tippah Census shows a Mary Gaillard, April 1888, living with father, Charles T. Gaillard and step-mother, Lucy. Charles T. Gaillard married Mrs. Lucy Rowell 24 August 1898.
