I would say it is two different Orrins, due to the fact one is a LT in an early war unit in the Army of Northern Virginia, and the other is a private in a later war unit in N. Miss. The 18th Cav was a unit that consisted largely of men that were not subject to conscription. My Willis J Moran was in Co D. He was born in 1806. Frank >An Orrin A(lston?) Beck was a Lt. in the 2nd Miss. and there was an Pvt. Orrin A. >Beck in Co. A 18th Btn. Miss. Cav.
