I just put a new diary on The Tippah County Confederate. It was written by Augustus L.P Vairan 1861-1865 and edited by Andrew Brown, author of the Tippah County History. The URL for The Tippah County Confederate is http://www.rootsweb.com/~mscivilw and it can be found under the Units section under the 2nd Miss. Co. B was made up of mainly Tippah Co. men. There is already a diary of Capt. Buchanan of Co. B there. There is a big gap in the diary since he was wounded and taken prisoner at Gettysburg and then furloughed home for a year after his exchange. Andrew Brown also includes a muster roll of the Co. when originally mustered in and a list of men recruited afterwards.
