Note the Tudor/Tuder line is not a direct descendant of mine, but is a cousin. Ron Hughes Children of David B. and Nancy Ann Rowland, born after the 1850 census VII. Robert Cooper Rowland: b. 1853-56, he may have been born 3/21/1855 or 56, and died 11/19/1940, He is buried in Tipplersville Cemetery. He is listed as one of the youngest sons of D. B. Rowland in his OBIT. He is listed as Robert, 5 M, MS, in the 1850 Census and as R. C., 15 M, MS in the 1870 Census. He married on Oct. 10 or 16, 1877, to Sarah Adelpha/Addie/Adeline Tudor. She was born 11/22/1860 and died 11/15/1942 and buried at Tiplersville, MS. The family of John Tudor has their family history written in the "Heritage of Tippah County", Vol. II. It was written by Mrs. Terry Coats. It is a follows; John Tudor, husband of Mary Seat Tudor, died in Isle of Wright, VA before April of 1721. His widow Mary, was left with two small sons, John Tudor, Jr. and Benjamin Tudor. Mary remarried to Henry Rose who raised the small boys. John Tudor, Jr. was married to ?, he died in 1782 in Granville Co., NC. They had three children; Phoebe, Henry and John. John Tudor remarried after the death of his first wife to Elizabeth White, and had six more children. Henry Tudor, born about 1751VA, died in 1815 in Barren Co., KY. About 1773 he married Nancy (Harris?). They had; Kinsey, Susanna, John, Henry, Jr., Joel, Absolem, Phoebe and Nancy Harris Tudor. Kinsey Tudor, b. 1775 in Granville Co., NC, married Winifred Gee, the daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth (Stanford) Gee, of Lunenburg Co., VA. These families moved to Barren Co., KY about 1800. Kinsey died while rafting goods to New Orleans about 1815. He married Winifred Gee in 1798 in Madison Co., KY. They had eight children, the youngest was Jesse Gee Tudor. Jesse Gee Tudor settled in Tippah County near Tiplersville in 1834. He married Elizabeth Jane Cutbirth in Hardeman Co., TN in 1833. They had 14 children, 12 lived to maturity and 10 had children. All but the first child were born in Tippah Co. The children were; 1. Elizabeth Jane Tudor, b. 1834 in Hardeman Co., TN, d.1906 MS. She married Henderson Garrett in 1859. They had 6 children. 2. William Duncan Tudor, b. 1836 MS died in 1865 as a Prisoner of War. He married Nancy Selissa Mohundro in 1857 and had three girls. The girls were; Eliza Elizabeth Tudor, Sara Adeline Tudor, b. 1862, and Martha Thomas Tudor, who died at age four. 3.John Glaze Tudor, b. 1837, d. 1898 TX. He married 1st in 1858 to Martha Taylor, in 1863 he married Julia Francis Patton and had 8 children. Sara (Sarah) Adeline Tudor married Robert Cooper Rowland in 1877. It appears that Sarah Adeline was œ Mohundro. See above. The origin of the Cooper name is presently unknown, although the family lived next to the Cooper family in Marshall Co., in the 1840 Census. Sarah was probably the daughter/ granddaughter of I. G. Tudor, b. abt. 1811, KY and wife Elizabeth ???, b.1815, TN. Note I have since found out that ther is no I. G. Tudor, his name is really Jesse Gee Tudor who settled near Tiplersville in 1884. Anothe example of an I or J reversing itself. Children of Robert Cooper and Sara Addie / Adeline (Tudor) Rowland were; 1. Viola/Violla Rowland, born 1879, she married Carroll Kendrick, Carroll Kendrick was the son of Allen Rose and Corrina Anderson Kendrick. ( note one Viola Rowland, married Lonnie M. Paseur on Sept.24, 1916.) Did Viola marry twice? Children of Viola and Carroll Kendrick were; a. Hadie, who married, Bruce Hunt; b. Welford; c. Catherine, b. 1908, d. April 22, 1999, married, James Edmond Childers, b. May 1, 1914. Children of Robert Cooper and Sarah Addie Rowland, continued. 2. Albert T. Rowland, born Oct. 20, 1881, died Dec. 18, 1966, he is buried at Tiplersville. He married Dovie L. James, on Feb. 25, 1912, she was the daughter of Jim Lee and Willy/Willie L. Street James. Dovie L., was born in Ripley on March 31, 1892, and died on Sept. 28, 1986 in New Albany. She is also buried at Tiplersville. Children of Albert T. , and Dovie L. (James) Rowland were: 1. Robert (Tudor?) Rowland; 2. Mansel Rowland; 3. Helen Rowland; 4. Alberta Rowland; 5. Quida Rowland; 6. Mary Rowland; and 7. Jamie (James?) Rowland. (Note: there is a "Tessie" Rowland, b. 10/17/1854, d. 12/13/1961, who is buried at the Tipplersville Cemetery, who is "Tessie"?). Children of Robert Cooper and Sarah Addie Rowland, continued; 3. Jessie Rowland, Male, DOB-UNK, this according to Steven Rutherford.
