Thomas B 1856 D 1904 Red River Co, TX He is listed in the 1900 Red River Co, TX census. Do you have any information that would prove or disprove that Richard is his father?

Richard's son, Clarence is my husband's great-grandfather. Thomas would be his brother. I have just started researching this family and like information on this family. (Clay) Rutherford b. 06-18-1848 d. 09-26-1910 Mother: Lucy A. Crook b 1848 d: 02-14-1889 The Rutherford line goes all the way back to the 1600s in Scotland. This is found on this website. I have picture transciptions of many cemeteries in the Tippah & Union County, Mississippi and the Walker & Tuscaloosa County, Alabama areas, with the Shelton Cemetery in Union County, MS. included. Though I have William Berry Sanford & Elander Jane Downen in my notes as buried there, their graves are evidently marked. I am not sure where he could have been burried. I do not know exactly when the New York cemetary came into being but the influx of folks from York dist., South Carolina was probably associated with its beginning.
