    3. Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I just added a new page to Benton County for family links. If you have a genealogy page that includes lines from Benton, send it in and I will add it to the page. Tippah has had a family links page for quite sometime but if you didn't know about it and would like to add yours send it in. Make sure you let me know on which county you want your page to be included. Thanks, Melissa McCoy-Bell

My g-grandfather was James Pendleton Lokey who did die 6/28/11. His father was also James Pendleton. At one time I did find some burial records via another site (Brazos County maybe) and that confirmed where he died. However, I didn't know the part about Blossom, Lamar, TX. I don't know much about the Lokeys other than recently learning my grandfather's siblings names and most dates of them. I think all but one were born in Tippah County. Let me know if you want more of what I have. (Sorry for the duplicate answers.)

Lokey. Upon the recent death of my father I came into the possession of family Bible pages where listed in the "deaths" section is a listing for James P. Lokey, died 28 June 1911 (Brazos Texas). Over the internet I came across from Lamar Co. Texas an interment record for a JP Lokey with the same death date, arrangemnts made by his son AD Lokey with buriel in Blossom, Lamar,Texas. My dad often talked about his Grandma Lokey and that she lived a long wagon ride from his home in Southern Oklahoma across the river (Red River?) Do you know what this Mr. Lokeys connection with the King family is and who "Grandma Lokey" was (second marriage perhaps?, just guesses on my part) Any help you could give me would be most appreciated.
