    1. [MSTIPPAH-L] Harris, John O. and Onie Allen descendants
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Harris, Murry, Allen Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/iJB.2ACE/660 Message Board Post: I would like some clarification on descendants of John O. and Onie Allen Harris. I have a copy of an article from page 375 of the Tippah County book. It is written by J. V. "Butch" Tapp. The article states that a son of John O. and Onie Allen Harris is C. Lee Harris, born in 1841. It states that Sam Harris is a brother of C. Lee.,and Sam Harris married twice (Nancy Hodge in 1868 and Adaline Wade in 1875). My data, which comes from my first cousin and was written by her father, my uncle, says that the second child of John Osborne and Onie Adaline Allen Harris was Cornelius Leroy Harris. The birth year matches (I showed his birth date as March 7, 1841) and so does his wife (Frances Lee Craig). Are C. Lee and Cornelius Leroy one and the same? Secondly, I show that J. O. and O. A. Harris' sixth child was John Samual Harris. This is the biggest conflict because my data shows that he married Emily Virginia Murry. John Samual was my great-grandfather. Can anyone shed some light on this? The data that I have on John Samual shows he was born December 10, 1852 and died March 19, 1911.
