Thank you, Fred. I certainly will. Susie
Walter or anyone that can help, My great aunt, Mary Josephine MCKINNEY, married Albert Broadus Holley MCALISTER, November 22, 1868. They made their home in Blue Mountain, MS, where Albert or A H McAllister was a Dentist. I do not know where they married. I would love to have that information. The McKinneys had begun to buy land in Hill Co., TX by 1867, but not sure when they moved there. William McKinney, the father died in the summer of 1867, but I don't know where they were living at that time. Aunt Josie's brother, John (J J) McKinney, was my grandfather. My mother thought they lived in MS before coming to TX. Thank you. The following names are not in my direct lines but they connect with some of my HALL ancestral cousins.... Bartlett S. TUCKER (I have only his name, no dates or other family members) m. Sarah Ann Priscilla HADDON (1838-1868) and they had Sarah Saunders TUCKER in 1862. This dau. married Thomas Dean HALL, s/o Andrew Jackson "Jack" HALL & Mary Ann DEAN. Thomas Dean HALL had 5 children. Jack HALL was s/o Fenton/Lent HALL & Mary "Polly" HALL, who were first cousins. These families were in the Anderson Co, SC area. Some later moved to MS. I also have listed a Captain Bartlett TUCKER b. 1761 in VA; d. 1841 in Anderson Co, SC; m. Hannah DeJARNETTE. Capt. Bartlett TUCKER was s/o James TUCKER & Elizabeth JACKSON, according to the info I have, and had a brother Harbert TUCKER who m. Frances DeJARNETTE, sister of Hannah who married his brother. Four of the children of Capt. Bartlett TUCKER married into the same HALL family mentioned above. At least two of Bartlett's brother Harbert TUCKER's children married into the same HALL family, too. There were close ties among the HALL, TUCKER, and DeJARNETTE families back in SC. Because of the names, I'm wondering if the BARLETTs you are talking about were also there and tie in with at least the TUCKERs I've mentioned. Also, I have an Agnes BARTLETT listed (no dates, places or other family members) who married Isaac PARKER, s/o Rev. Nathaniel PARKER, Sr. & Ann CLAYTON. Because of Isaac's birthdate of 1766-67, I'd assume they were married in the mid to late 1780s either in VA or TN. Nathaniel and Ann were both born in VA and both died in TN. Nathaniel PARKER, Sr. was m. 2nd to Mary RAMSEY, widow of Col. Anthony BLEDSOE of TN. Happy to share any info I have if it might be of help or interest. But please be aware that I have not verified all of the information I have. Rebecca

The Nathans didn't actually use II and III with their names, but I use them to distinguish them. They were not father and son. Nathan I was Joshua's brother. But that's another story.

I knew the origins of Daniel T. Bartlett from the Tippah/Union website. Some of the genealogy of Joshua is tricky, so I appreciate your clarifying it. I posted this on the site because a lady, not related to me, insisted that this Daniel T. Bartlett was the brother of my ggrandfather, William W. Bartlett, also named Daniel, who supposedly moved to MS after the Civil War---and left his four children behind!!! I did this to gather evidence to refute the idea that Daniel T. Bartlett WAS Daniel Bartlett (of Jackson Parish, LA). Your additional information provides me with greater proof that both Daniels were SEPARATE individuals. I don't know what happend to my Daniel. He is in both the 1850 and 1860 census, but cannot be found in ANY 1870 census. Last Sept., I found another of his Children, Randell/Randall W. Bartlett's Marriage License (Bienville Parish), Application for a land grant in the same parish, and the Bill of Sale to the land in 1898. I have no other info after that. I believe he and his wife moved elsewhere, but that opens another door for me!!! Thanks again. Ray Bartlett

He was born in White Co TN on 4 Jan 1844; died in Tippah Co 4 Sep 1922. His wife was Rutha Ann Wesson. Daniel's parents were Joseph and Martha; his grandparents were Joshua and Winnie (Herring). I don't agree with the article referenced by Milton regarding the father of Joshua as being Robert. There has been a search for Joshua's father for nearly a hundred years. There is no conclusive evidence that Robert was the father. I am descended from Joshua and his brother, Nathan.

I haven''t posted in a while and there may be a newbie looking for the descendants or ancestors of James Harvey Blair b. 1824 N C c. 1907 AR and 1st wife Fredonia Wilkins b. 1830-1832. (Some census say TN and some MS). Fredonia died 1879 AR. They are on the Tippah Co MS census in 1850 with oldest child, William Robert Blair b. 1850 MS. I Suspect Fredonia's father is Robert S Wilkins, but need documentation. I suspect James Harvey Blair's parents were William Blair b. 1798 NC d.1878 TN & Margaret McCauley. I have lots of descendants. Trying to document parents of this couple. Will help anyone whose family includes this line. Always Searching, C A Blair
