Hi Mike and others! I've been interested in the discussion about the WILLIAMSON family in Simpson County with origins in SC. I have Rebecca WILLIAMSON, b. abt 1809 in SC who married Archibald HUGHES (b. abt 1803 in SC) and they migrated to Simpson County. Archibald died 30 May 1853 in Simpson County. I have been led to believe that Rebecca's father was William Williamson about whom I know nothing. I am aware of the William Williamson in the census for Simpson County and have wondered if he was related to Rebecca. Rebecca and Archibald were the parents of Bridgett Ann HUGHES who married Joseph LANG. Have any of you encountered Rebecca or Archibald?
