Jesse David Graves, son of Wig, did marry a Mary Ada, but he also had a sister Ada, who married William Walker. She was also the daughter of Wig. Do you have much on Wig? He was born February 6, 1851 and married Martha Ann (Mattie) Kersh. She died in 1917, after which he married his childhood sweetheart (I do not know her name and there were several D. W. Graves who married during that time period. In 1920 he married Mar. Charity Bradley. Wig died 03 April 1925. The informant on his death certificate was listed as Mrs. A. E. Graves, identified as his wife. I don't know who she is. His mother was listed as a "Drummons". Both parents were from Alabama. What I don't understand is that on the census reports he is listed as David A. Graves, with the same children in his household, including Ada, but then becomes David Wiggins Graves, with the same birthdate and same children. Do you know how! this came about? I have the civil war record of David A. Graves and it describes him as 6' tall, dark complected, dark hair, and grey eyes. I'll be glad to share any info I have. Thanks, Lucy
