Mr. Montgomery was back in court one more time after the first appearance-he got off for being mentally imbalanced;maybe a newspaper story after the 23 Jan 1930 one. James Connie Medley had been married to a local girl, Mattie L.(izzie) Burnham and had two children. J.(ames) C.(onnie) and Hilda Medley. When Hilda was about 1 Mattie died and is buried in Puckett. Hilda went to live with her aunt, Winnie Bell Jones Hunter in Dyersburg,TN. Later J.C. went there too. Connie is buried next to Mattie Lizzie(could be Elizabeth) in Puckett. If you are able to find any more information/documents(have a copy of the 23 Jan 1930 newspaper story)and can make a hard copies I will be most happy to pay for them,postage,parking fees,ect.
