I knew he lived down the road and did that type work. But he is much younger than Uncle Simp which was confusing. Both the Dear brothers, Vilas and Tom Hardy, have passed on, Tom just a few months back, Vilas a couple years ago. Infact I saw Robert at Tom's funeral at Rexford. Tom was at the nursing home in Mendenhall, Vilas passed away at home as well as I can remember. There sister is alive and doing well. About the roads and trails,,, I've never seen any old maps or blue prints of the area but would love to see anything going back to those days. Let me know where I can get a hold of anything like that. The archives may have somthing on it. I can only imagine that the roads from Star towards Braxton and Holly Grove were quite different than they are now. jerry
