I believe his mother was Dicey Magee who married Duncan McIntyre in LA and moved to Rankin County, MS. There is a Civil War record in TX for an F M McIntyre. There is also a Mangum in the same unit. Could there have been a relationship between these 2 families? Any information or even speculation would be appreciated.
