Harriet E. Collier b.1828 MS d. 1872 Rankin Co. MS Married Mar. 1845 to Lewis D. Rhodes b. 1826 S.C. d.1887 Rankin Co.MS. Lewis D. Rhodes married (2) Mrs. Ann Mary Moore Puckett. He served in Civil War. Lewis and Harriett were Methodists. Children: 1. Winfield Scott Beauregard Rhodes. b. 1848 Rankin Co.d.1927 Warren? in Tyler County TX. Married 1870 Virginia E. Finley. 2. Leonidas F. Rhodes 1850-1889 Was murdered while living in Tyler County TX married 1876 Clemanza Broadus 3. Robert E. Rhodes b. 1853 Rankin county MS . d. Birmingham,Ala. In 1882 lost wife and only child.Disappeared . 4.Mary Pairlee Rhodes b. 1853 Rankin county MS. Married James T. Ellis 1852 5.Pocohuntas Rhodes b.1857 d. 1938 Soper Ok married 1883 to James Thomas Wynn 6.Samuel E. Rhodes 1866-1946 Hugo OK married Lydia M. Hutchings. 7.Loula L. Puckett step-daughter Hope this can be of some help to someone doing this line .
Hi, Thanks for your post of Harriet E.Collier and Lewis D. Rhodes. Which Texas library did you find this information? Most of it agrees with my information. My interest is the John Collier family so am unable to help with your Rhodes families.
