MS has a Pilgrim Rest Cemetery and a Wells, MS. Wells Post Office It is said that John A. Wasson Started the Wells Post Office on 29 January 1857, that he was the first Postmaster and that he served it at different times over a period of several years. Wells was a Post Office kept by John Toler in 1880. Later the Wells Post Office was kept by Dick Reeves. The Post Office was on the Greensboro Road ten miles North of Kosciusko. Dock Bell had a store on Hurricane Creek and the Post Office was one mile South of the store. The schoolhouse for the Natchez Trace School was located about halfway between the store and the Post Office. Pilgrim Rest Cemetery has 2 Leonard buried there Coleman Leonard 1808 – April 28, 1892 (Broken Stone) Eliza E. Leonard, 1817 – September 3, 1868 (Broken Stone) “Attala Co. She was from Caroline Jackson Dodson's first marriage to Campbell Tate Koonce. I grew up in the Ludlow, Scott County, MS. community. Your Charles Patrick Mundy also had a brother, Peter Mundy, a sister, Julia Mundy and a sister Arrah Mundy who lived in that same area. Peter married a Kea, then Estelle Cox, Julia married Tom Adcock and Arrah married Lawson Bennett. I have information on the Mundys if you require additional information.

There was also an article in the Raleigh Weekly Standard that list casualties of Civil War....1862 Oct. 8th Engagement of Sept. 14th on South Mountain, Company C Jas, H. Kornegay, wounded in leg severly.

This just happened to be one that I had been to with him. You'd be surprised to know that my daughter (10) learns a lot about Mississippi traveling with us on "Saturday outings" when it's raining.
