It was refreshing to revisit your email concerning the Donnells of Rankin County. I am still in Houston, TX and I must make it a point to visit Austin to go out to lunch with you, or take a trip to your research center. I have other relatives and friends who live there, so I must make that trip soon. Please, let's keep in contact, and I will certainly email you as to when I can plan a trip to Austin. Have a great year, and I look forward to meeting you soon. Regards, Cousin Maurice

Her parents were Jeff Wells and Epsie Burch Wells. She was married to Ed Ragland. I would also like his death record, he was still alive in 1930, but may have died shortly afterward. Cleo was born about 1889, Ed about 1887. They were AfricanAmerican. A third one I need is Dennis Burch. He was alive in 1930 and living alone in Rankin County. He was born about 1861, so would have been about 69 years of age in 1930. Any help is appreciated. Charlie Chapman

Anybody know the names of his parents? Could the Probate Judge James Finlay born in NC 1790-1800 be his father? James died between 1850-1860 in Rankin County. James's wife was Cady when he died, she is too young to be the mother of John, did the Judge have another wife that could be the mother of John born about 1819? My GtGt Grandfather S Finlay & his family were living in Rankin County in 1860. I am trying to find out if him and John Finlay are related. Any clues appreciated.
