    3. Hi Linda, I am a descendant of George Washington Davis and Mary Ann Garrett, his second wife. I suppose you and I are related through G.W. I have as the issue of G.W. and Nancy the following: Catherine Virginia Davis, m David William Denson Eliza Davis, m Dr. Ogden Mary Frances Davis, m John S. Davis (first cousins) Girl (?) Davis, died at about 3-5 years of age George Washington Davis, Jr., m Mary Jane Hamlin Jacqueline Davis, m James Madison Moore Elisha Davis, m Harriet Virginia Denson Susan Davis, m George Washington Moore Elizabeth Davis, ? According to my data the only set of twins was Susan and Elisha. There could have been more but I do not have them. Oral family history said that there were from 18 to 21 children sired by G.W. with at least two wives, Nancy Moore and Mary Ann Garrett. So far I have information on only 15 so there is room for more. You mentioned that you descend from Cynthia. I'm not sure who her parents were. Can you clarify that for me? Was she the daughter of G.W. Davis and Nancy Moore or Rev. Elisha Moore and wife Mary? G.W. Davis was my g grandfather and Edward Garrett Davis was my grandfather. Carl Davis was my father. These folks lived around Pisgah as you stated. In fact, I was born while my dad farmed in that area in 1934. We later moved to Pelahatchie and scattered to the four winds from there! I am now retired and living in Baton Rouge, LA for the past 36 years. Do you know John Keith Davis? He is a descendant of G.W. and Mary Ann and is the person that did practically all the archive work to identify the issue of G.W. Do you have any information on the father of G.W., John Davis from VA? He has been a brick wall for us for several years now and we can't seem to find any clues to his spouse or burial location. Some of the above folks are buried in the Old Pisgah Cemetery in NW Rankin Co. It is good to hear from you and If I can help further please let me know. I do have more information on the issue of those mentioned above. Contact me via the e-mail address below.
