    3. In the Rankin County Cemetery Records for years 1820-1980, these are the only Burch burials with a stone/marker. Also in The Jerusalem Cemetery, located 6 miles south of Brandon, MS, list known burials, but no stone or markers for the following BURCH family: BURCH, EDD BURCH, LIZZIE lISTING IN SINAI CEMETERY LOCATED 3 1/2 MILES SW OF FLORENCE, MS: BURCH, GEORGE ALLEN 5 APR 1880 - 14 SEPT 1962 Best Wishes in your search. 3. My Dad and brother live in Star, about 6 miles south of Florence, and they don't have phone service or power. As for power, it depends mainly if you're on Entergy or Southern Pine. It looks like Entergy has restored power to most of the customers in the area, but Southern Pine is going to take another week or so. More people are getting power back every day but there are still over 50,000 in the Jackson area with no power. We got power back in East Brandon late Thursday night. Some places still don't have phone service even after getting power and vice versa. After the storm, even our cell phones would not work due to so many towers damaged in this area. Our main problem now is getting gas to the service stations. Lines are long if you can even find a station who has gas. This has been an unreal experience. I've never seen anything like it this far inland. Brandon is about 3 or 4 hours from the Coast. Laurel is in terrible shape. About 65% of the homes & businesses are damaged. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XJB.2ACE/401.1.1 Message Board Post: Was researching Grady Lee Myers and came across an obituary in the Vicksburg Post (Mississippi). The obit (DOD 04/03/2004) listed David Norman Myers and Lula Ellie Myers as his parents. It listed his brothers as Luther, Hardy, Joe and Kersh. ,His sisters were Corene, Myrtis, Louise, Merl and Bertha. Grady was born in Oak Grove, Coushatta, LA. (Were there two marriages?) The paper called Ruth ?Zagar as his wife. No mention was made of his first wife Alexandra, nor of his son William. This marriage happened when Grady was in the Navy. They lived in Groton, CT when he retired. After Grady's retirement, he moved to Louisianna and was never heard from again. Alexandra died October 25, 1988. I don't think this is the exact information you were looking for, but, perhaps if you track down that obit, you can find what you want from one of the other mentioned people, especially the sisters, women are good at this sort of thing. If you would, would you please keep me appr! ised? I'm still not sure who David Norman Myers' parents were. Thank you.
