She said that you also live very close to us here at Crossgates in Brandon. Daisy also said she saw you today at Pisgah Church. I am doing Jack Pentecost family side too. We laugh that Brenda is the only one to lrave Madison County and move to another county. I think it was a good thing since I am from Holmes County. Thanks and I will be asking more as I go along and send me any info you wish at anytime. I am going back as far as I can. I am doing the following families on my side also: Zeigler, Mayo, Eubanks and Ables mostly of Holmes County and Yazoo County.

He thinks he may be related to the person that Rankin Co., MS was named for, i.e., Christopher Rankin. Since you have Rankin kin that may have come from Scottland he may be interested in contacting you. Can you send me your current e-mail address and I will forward it to him (providing you want to do that!). His name is Clinton and that is all I know. He has never told me his surname. Let's try something new. Anyone with ancestors that came to any county in Mississippi in the 1800's, Let us post info on these people. It might help knock down some brick walls. I have a John Wilson in Lawrence Co. Ms. He appears in 1824 around Fair River. He married Mary Jane Norman in 1827 or 1824. John was on the will of Benjamin Wilson also on Fair River. Benjamin died in 1835, John was no longer head of household on the 1840 census in Lawrence Co. Ms. John Wilson and Mary Jane had at least on son Rodolphus born in 1838. Mary Jane had a first marriage to Hiram Norman, they had at least two children. Since the counties were growing and some boundiers change I though anyone with Wilson's in this time span would be helpful to others. I don't know where my John came from, or what happen to him. Thanks for reading this. John Wilson

I don't know much about the White's and Sebren's - but am researching - they were my Grandmother's folks.
The SEBREN'S are buried in Clear Branch Cemetery which is about 7 miles southwest of Florence, MS and in Florence Cemetery As of 1980 Janie Mitchell is not listed in the Rankin County Cemetery Records as being dead. STUCKEY'S buried in Clear Branch Cemetery and also in Mountain Creek WHITES are also buried in Clear Branch Cemetery, Florence and in various cemeteries througout the county. Would need a name to locate the exact burial site.
