Nadine, My Hugh M. Rodgers was born 7-26-1834, according to my information. My John W. Rodgers could have been John Wesley Rodgers, but I don't know. My grandfather was A. Wesley Rodgers, grandson of John W. Rodgers. The relatives whom I was in contact with were from Pontotoc County, but I know some of the relatives were from other counties in the area. My uncle, William Rufus Rodgers, supposedly died in Bruce, Mississippi. And I found some relatives living in Calhoun County in earlier years. My dad was born in Pontotoc County. I don't think any of my dad's immediate family were educated, don't know about the earlier families. Hope this helps you. Ludean
