Just a thought to all............ My GG Grandfather Thomas Jefferson Porter died in 1910 and a Masonic Burial in Sarepta, Calhoun, MS. The Lodge is in Pontotoc. I could never get any information from them. So what I did was going through the back door. I wrote a letter to the "Oldest Living Resident" in Sarepta c/o the Post Master. My Letter was given to a delightful lady who not only went to the Masonic Lodge to visit friends of her deceased husband and get information for me....so also knew my GG Grandfather who was the school teacher way back when! We exchanged letters for several years before she passed away. I have a shoebox full of wonderful stories about my family. When at first you don't succeed - try the back door!
