We may have corresponded before. Your name, Reece, seems familiar. My gg grandfather was a Ranson H. Brown, born in about 1813-15 - not sure just where - either Virginia or NC. He was in DeKalb Co., Alabama in the 1830's, married a Mariah Lamar in 1836. Their oldest child - Mary Undine Brown - was my great grandmother. I do believe that they moved to Pontotoc Co. sometime between 1850 and 1860 because that's where Mary Undine got married in 1858 - to a Joseph Abner Johnson. Also, some of Mariah Lamar's relatives had already moved to Pontotoc. Any connection?
