A couple of people have mentioned FIELDS recently. I have in my records a Matilda King who married John Franklin Fields, Sr. Both of these were born in 1825 in Alabama. They were married and listed in the 1850 Pontotoc Co. census along with (I think) two children. I have a total of eight children listed for them.
