Wow Ludean, our lines seem so similar. My Hugh M. (supposedly McGary) RO(D)GERS married Serena HARTGROVE in 1820 in AL. They had a daughter named Sarah Ann RO(D)GERS who married William P. HERRING in Itawamba Co., MS in the 1850s after they all migrated to MS, from AL. In their later years, they were found in Lee Co., MS, where they lived and died. I know parts of Itawamba Co., Pontotoc Co., Union Co., and Lee Co. were at one time parts of each other. As for the similarities in your Alfred A. RODGERS who married Ann DUNN and my lines......The above mentioned William P. HERRING and Sarah Ann RO(D)GERS HERRING had (among other children) a son named Henderson HERRING who married Ella LUKE and had 3 sons, one of whom was Alfred Jackson HERRING who married Frances (Fannie) Jane DUNN, daughter of George David DUNN and Mary Ann MARTIN (1) MOBLEY, (2) DUNN. He did have a second wife but she was a BRADLEY. Is your John W. RODGERS, John Wesley RO(D)GERS? The relatives who shared the RO(D)GERS information with you but are now deceased, were they from Lee Co., MS? Rodgers born in 1839, don't know where, and she married a McGary, so it seems odd that the McGary name is in your info and also in mine. My info came to me in 1969 from relatives still alive at that time, but now dead. Alfred A. Rodgers married Ann Dunn first then Julia Harris. Saphronie married a Bassinger. I didn't hear who Hugh M. married. The children I mention are from John and Elizabeth Rodgers. My great grandfather first married a Emma or Emily Sanders, then Adaline Harrison. His name was William J. Rodgers. > > Ludean
