You may already know this, but Union and Tippah Counties were created out of Pontotoc. I've seen a listing for the Union County cemetaries and I think I've seen one for Tippah as well. I don't have copies nearby, this was in the Greenwood, MS library. Anyway, it may be that your ancestors are now in a different county and this may provide further avenues for your exploration.
