According to my map of Pontotoc County this was four 40 acre blocks set one on top of the other running north to south, beginning at the junction of Black Zion Road and Valley Road is located at the N/W corner of the 160 acre section. The church may have been Black Zion Church. Black Zion got it's name because there were two churches in the same neighborhood, one painted their church building white and the other did not paint their church building. The one painted white was called White Zion the unpainted church began to be call Black Zion and the name stuck.......................bill owen...............
