Shirley: Thank you for the Colbert information. I believe that someone in Tippah County,Ms put together a genealogy of the Colbert family. Did you know about? What do you have on the death of James Logan Colbert? According to the recollections of Alexander McGillvaray of the Creeks, Colbert was on a return trip from Pensacola to Pontotoc and stopped by the home of McGillivaray, and a day or two later, it was reported that his horse threw him and he was killed. This was reported by his servant who was with him. Do you have any additional information?
