Anybody out there who descends from either Ambrose Carter or Frances Brown or both? I'm thinking that Frances Brown might be a sister to my great grandmother, Mary Undine Brown. Mary got married to Joseph Abner Johnson in Pontotoc Co. in July 1858. Ambrose and Frances got married later - like 1861. My Mary DID have a sister named Frances who was listed as being at home in Neshoba Co. with her father and stepmother on the 1860 census, and she was only 17 on the census, but of couse, by 1861, she would have been 18 and probably old enough to go back to Pontotoc Co. to get married.
