Libba, My uncle wasn't missing from us. His ex-wife, the girl's mother, wouldn't tell her daughter about him and raised her believing her step-father was her father. When the ex-wife died, the child found her own birth certificate and discovered who her real father was. I don't know what caused the marriage break-up. But from Arkansas to California was a long ways apart 70 years ago. I see so many of my family names among other Rodgers on this list. Looks like they would be related to each other somewhere.
