Also, on pages 386-387 of the Pontotoc County MS Histories and Families book, there are two articles, "Thomas Rodgers Family" and William Rodgers Family," which state that Thomas and William are both brothers of James RODGERS. The articles say that both of them came from the Old District 96 in SC originally and that William came to Pontotoc Co. in the 1850s from GA where he married his wife Julia Gillespie. [Note: I speculate that she may be a sister of Eliza Jane GILLESPIE who married James RODGERS in 1842 in Newton Co., GA] Does anyone know who wrote these two articles about Thomas RODGERS and William RODGERS? I have not been able to find out regardless of all my efforts to do so. I would certainly like to be able to correspond with descendents of these two brothers. Mary K.
