Bill, I wonder if you would look in the book'From These Hills' and see if any Sanders or Rodgers/Rogers are listed. I was told recently that my dad and his siblings were Choctaw, or maybe just partly. I heard that one of my dad's sisters talked something the kids didn't understand and when they asked their dad, he told them she was Choctaw. I may just be reaching for straws, but the other side of my family were Cherokee and they blended in and hid the fact that they were Cherokee so they wouldn't have to go to reservations.
