Hello everyone, Please do not email me about the misspelling of the town Shuqualak in my last reply to a post. It was an innocent mistake, before I noticed it, it was to late to correct. Yes, there are lumber companies in the town. I only saw one company at the time I was there. I remember the glove company. Some of my relatives used to work for the company. The grocery stores are in Macon. The Piggy Wiggy is still there in Macon. Highway 45 was a two lanes road in Shuqualak and now it is a four lanes highway thru the town. After the treaty of the Dancing Rabbitt, many from the east came to Mississippi for the land offered by the Federal government. Many roads are named after some the earlier settlers. I dare not to name some of them. In fear I might get more email for incorrect spelling.LOL http://www.ajfroggie.com/roadpics/ms-ends/ms39.htm http://www.ajfroggie.com/roadpics/ms145.htm
