The primary reason that I have changed the manner in which we will post ON OUR WEB PAGE is that the web master and associate then has control over what appears on these pages, and we do not have to wade thru "query" on top of "query", which could and does contain objectionable material which we can't delete (at this time). By linking, as I have done, you will still have access to those "boards", except now it one BIG board. The URL will be updated but by clicking on what is now the GenConnect link, you will be taken to the "New Boards." I do believe that more places one posts things, the more likely they are to be found by others interested in the same subject/family/person? It's just that the company could "for whatever reason" pull the plug and we, as Noxubee county researchers, will have lost all our postings and clues that appear those queries. By maintaining the queries manually, we will forever have them. There is already two "pages" of queries that we have had up since I got involved here in 1997. We went to the automated, but kept active the pages where those queries were posted, for others to check out. That is what all this is about. Until something arises, our web page will remain with the Rootsweb server, as they have promised that it "will always be free to USGenWeb." Presently, a "bug", I hope it is a bug, exists that will not display email addresses on the postings that got "moved" over the weekend. We "administrators" lost control as we knew it, and as hard as we try, we don't all understand "all " of the ramifications of this move?? Just thought I should update you. Have a great Sunday, thank the Lord for your blessings, and hug your family. God Bless, ear
