The census record was right but , He was Daniel & Sarah's 10th child. I had my information open and Henry Thomas was at the top of the page. I hope I don't confuse others by this. Henry and Esther's 6th child was Robert T. Thomas born 8 Jan 1821 and died 28 Feb 1892. Robert T. Thomas did marry Anne Catherine Earikson. It might interest you to know that Simon Thomas Jr's wife Priscilla married Owen Slaughter Jr after Simon's death. about 1837 Priscilla and her son John Thomas along with her daughter Sarah Thomas who had married D.M. Slaughter in Richmond moved on to AL and MS along with others of the Thomas and Covington family in a covered Wagon train. My Grandfather John Thomas Slaughter was born in Winston Co MS 2 Feb 1838. He moved on to Texas later but his sister Rachel Slaughter married Alfred Reed and they lived in Kemper Co but were living in Noxubee Co before 1880. I wonder if these cousins got to see one another in those years Christine. What was your grandmother's name? I wonder if I might have corresponded with her over the years?
