My ggrandfather, John Hinah Dew married Mary Jane Glass in Noxubee County after the war. John's mother was Elizabeth Barnes from N.C. I wonder if you know siblings of the Barnes buried in Noxubee County. Elizabeth's siblings were Polly, Sally, Nancy, Penny, Treecy, Temperance, Martha, James, and Dempsey. I learned about them from Marleen Sue Van Horne who is knowledgeable about the Barnes. Elizabeth's parents were Joseph Barnes and Sarah Whitehead. They were both from N. Carolina.
