Pace? and applied for letters of administration on the estate of Edmund PACE deceased which is granted by given bond with security and taken the oath presented by law pg. 2 Ordered by the court that Martin? HILL, Samuel SHERROD, Ahijah ATKINSON and George MAYBERRY be appointed appraisers of the estate of Edmund PACE, deceased. Geo. B. AUGUSTUS, Judge James T. HARRISON, administrator of estate of William J. GLASS 31 Oct 1836 pg. 9 Ordered that the clerk of this court issue a commission and annex the same to the last will and testament of Brittain MOORE, dec'd. and direct the same to Isaac ?----? , William MAY and Benjamin T---? of Pitts County in the State of NC to cause Noah IVINE? and John JOINER? to come before them in intent of these to prove the said will and testament (Note: this one was particularly difficult for me to read....) 6 Feb 1837 pg. 17 Ordered that Benjamin ROBERTSON be granted letters of administration on the estate of Christopher A. CARTER dec'd for having given bond and security according to law. 17 Oct 1837 pg. 23 Personally came this day in open court Bennett ATKINSON and applied for letters of administration of the estate of Foster GANDY dec'd. Temperence GANDY the late wife and now widow of the late Foster GANDY dec'd relinquishing the administrator of said estate by letter , presented to this court. pg. 24 Ordered that Bennett ATKINSON be and he is hereby appointed administrator of the estate of Foster GANDY dec'd. Ordered that John GANDY be and is hereby appointed guardian to Joseph J. GANDY and Sarah F. GANDY minor heirs of Foster GANDY dec'd. they being under the age of fourteen years. This day personally came in open court Mary Ann GANDY minor over the age of fourteen years, minor heir of Foster GANDY dec'd and requested the appointment of John GANDY, as her guardian. Ordered that John GANDY be and is hereby appointed guardian for the said Mary Ann GANDY he having given bond and security according to law 31 Oct 1837 pg. 25 Ordered the administrator of Foster GANDY, dec'd, proceed to sell all the personal estate of said dec'd except the negroes belonging to said estate 7 Dec 1837 Personally came forward this day in open court Henry M. ATKINSON minor heir of Jacob ATKINSON dec'd, being over the age of 14 years old and chosed and selected Jethro ATKINSON of siad county for his guardian and the said Jethro ATKINSON giving bond and security according to law it is therefore ordered that Jethro ATKINSON be and is hereby appointed guardian for the said Henry M. ATKINSON. Personally came forward this day in open court Jethro ATKINSON and made application for letters of guardianship for his brother William H. ATKINSON , minor heir of Jacob ATKINSON dec'd. The said William H. ATKINSON being under 14 years of age it is therefore ordered by the court that the said Jethro ATKINSON be and he is hereby appointed guardian for the said William ATKINSON, minor heir of Jacob ATKINSON, dec'd. Came forward this day in open court Alfred BRIDGES and made application for eltters of guardianship for Caroline J. ATKINSON, minor heir of Jacob ATKINSON dec'd., the said Caroline J. ATKINSON being under 14 years of age. It is therefore ordered that the said Alfred BRIDGES be and he is hereby appointed guardian for the said Caroline J. ATKINSON , minor heir of Jacob ATKINSON dec'd he having given bond and security according to law. That the administrator of the estate of Foster GANDY dec'd be and is hereby authorized to sell the crop of cotton now on hand belonging to said estate for cash and private sale and make returns thereof to the court. 1 Oct 1838 pg. 34 Appeared this day in open court Joseph L. HUNTER and made application for letters of administration in the estate of William BENNET dec'd, it is further ordered that Joseph L. HUNTER be and he is hereby granted letters of administration on estate of said dec'd. 5 Nov 1838 pg. 35 Ordered that the list of appraisers of the estate of William BENNETT dec'd be and the same is hereby recorded and ordered to be recorded Ordered that the administrator of the estate of William BENNETT dec'd be and is hereby authorized to sell all the property belonging to said estate by giving the notice required by law as per approve sale named except a negro girl named Lydia appraised at four hundred dollars and be it further ordered that the administrator of the estate of William BENNETT dec'd be and he is hereby authorized to rent the lands belonging to said dec'd at the same time and place. 3 Dec 1839 pg. 58 Ordered that the administrator of William BENNETT , dec'd., be and he is hereby authorized to rent? the land belonging to the estate of said deceased for this the year 1840.
