    3. My 3g-grandfather's dau, Lucinda (Harper) Paulette's second husband was Spencer McHenry. They were married in Nox. Co. Could this be the same Spencer McHenry as yours? If so, this would be his second marriage, according to your data. Here is a brief genealogy report. Descendants of Lucinda Harper Generation No. 1 1. LUCINDA5 HARPER (ROBERT4, JOSIAH3, JOSEPH2, JOHN1) was born August 15, 1826 in AL(1), and died October 01, 1914 in Noxubee Co., MS(2). She married (1) THOMAS B. PAULETTE, SR. Bef. November 1845. He was born 1816 in VA(3), and died 1859 in Noxubee Co., MS(4). She married (2) SPENCER MCHENRY May 19, 1863 in Noxubee Co., MS(5). He was born March 02, 1806, and died September 28, 1869 in Noxubee Co., MS(6). Notes for LUCINDA HARPER: Lucinda obviously was the daughter of Sarah Hewitt Harper, Robert's second spouse.. The Tuscaloosa County Orphan's Court (Book 2, page 171) on Feb. 8, 1842 appointed William W. Bacher(sp?) as her guardian when her father's estate administrators petitioned to sell and divide inherited property. Assuming that 18 years was the age of majority, Lucinda would have had to have been born after Feb. 8, 1824. Her father, Robert, married Sarah in January 1926. By November 1845, Lucinda had married a POLLOTT(sic) (Orphans Court bood 3, pp. 67-68) and was given her share of her father's estate. If Lucinda was born after Jan. 1926, she could have been 17-18 in 1845. That was old enough to be married. Later evidence shows that the Orphans Court reference to Pollott most likely is a phonetic attempt at PAULETTE because we found Lucinda Paulette in Noxubee Co., MS census later, and in one case, her mother was in the household. Children of LUCINDA HARPER and THOMAS PAULETTE are: i. SARAH6 PAULETTE, b. Bet. 1844 - 1845. ii. THOMAS B. PAULETTE, JR., b. December 02, 1847, Noxubee Co., MS; d. March 05, 1911(6). iii. VIRGINIA PAULETTE, b. Bet. 1850 - 1851. iv. JOHN W. PAULETTE, b. September 21, 18537; d. April 12, 1917(7). More About JOHN W. PAULETTE: Burial: Odd Fellows Cemetery, Macon, MS Endnotes 1.
