Joiner and Cathrine "Kate" Farmer who were married July 1, 1862 in Noxubee County, Mississippi. William served in "A" Company of the 6th Mississippi Cavalry during the Civil War. They had six children, among them Lon and Sid Joiner, and Mrs. Mark Davenport and Mrs. E.O. Chipman, all of Texas. William was born about 1817 and died 9/20/1890 in Bandera County, Texas. Kate was born 8/1/1840 and died 2/13/1934 in Bandera County, Texas. Kate applied for and was granted a Confederate Pension in 1899.
