Estate of James Tubb April 1, 1844, pp. 12-13 Jesse Tubb, administrator. Accounts taken up: William Tubb, Benjamin Tubb June 24, 1844, p. 22 Jesse Tubb requests to sell James' property because not "sufficient property sold to pay all the debts of said deceased..." and heirs are "anxious" for a division of the estate. The land was located in township 13, range 18. The request was granted Sept. 1844 and published in the Independence. 3/3/1845, pg. 94 Account sales of a part of James Tubb's property: Durrett White bought the majority of the property. Others who purchased were: D. A. Tubb T. H. Walker J. B. Robbins 9/20/1843, p. 94 Jesse Tubb sold a negro boy, 16, named Burell for $600. Bought for use of the estate. Recorded 3/14/1845. May 2, 1845, p. 157 Accounting of estate by Jesse Tubb. Entry for cotton sold in Mobile by Lemuel Calloway in Feb. 1845.
