Cotton of Noxubee taken from Vol. B of Noxubee Court Records. Nov. 4, 1844 States that William E. Cotton left 8 heirs. Abner D. Cotton was named guardian of Riley Cotton. John R. Cotton was named guardian of Frances Carolina and Margaret Priscilla Cotton. Other heirs: JF Hindly, right of wife Mary J. T. Robinson/Robertson, right of wife Nancy Arthur Anderson, right of wife Martha C. William R. Cotton John R. Cotton Heirs received monies in July term 1846, pp. 388-391. Note: Margaret Priscilla Cotton married Maxfield Dugan. Frances Carolina Cotton married James F. Dugan (brother of Maxfield).
